Main duties of the job
Job responsibilities
Clinical Care:
- Providing medical services to the practice population, including consultations, assessments, diagnoses, and referrals.
- Patient Management:
- Developing care plans for patients, particularly those with chronic conditions, and ensuring adherence to practice protocols.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Processing referrals, repeat prescriptions, and other administrative duties.
- Telephone Triage: Dealing with phone calls and providing initial assessment of patient needs.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and clear clinical records (using SystmOne).
- Practice Contribution: Working collaboratively with other members of the practice team, contributing to practice meetings, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Personal Development: Participating in professional development activities, including educational meetings and annual performance reviews.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Compliance: Adhering to practice policies and guidelines, including those related to prescribing, confidentiality, and data protection.
- Teamwork: Working effectively with other healthcare professionals and practice staff.

- GMC Registration / Qualified GP
