We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with relevant skills and experience. You will have completed an accredited Phlebotomy course. The applicant must have experience within a medical environment.
Hours:20 hours per week between the hours of 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Pay:£12.51 per hour.

Working under the direction of the nurse manager, and as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, the post-holder will be responsible for:

The following are the primary responsibilities of the phlebotomist. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
· Obtaining patient consent for the collection of a blood sample
· Performing venepuncture in accordance with practice protocols
· Maintaining accurate patient records on SystmOne
· The correct labelling, packaging and storing of samples
· Ensuring samples are sent to the laboratory in a timely manner
· Working collaboratively with the nursing team, seeking guidance when necessary for patient related matters
· Process laboratoy samples requested by the GPs and nurses
