Occupational Therapist

Job summary

We are expanding and we are looking for a knowledgeable, motivated Junior Occupational therapist, who has a passion for patient care, willing to develop their skills and push themselves outside the normal boundaries of practice, who has a real drive to make sure their patient gets the best treatment as possible.

If you are that clinician who have an excellent communication skills, a team player with a positive attitude and committed to provide excellent care to the patient, we are happy to have you onboard and you may wish to join our excellent team of nurses, occupational therapist,Physiotherapist, Dietician, Paramedics and skilled administrators led by a supportive manager and COE consultant.

Main duties of the job

Attend patients as both parts of the Rapid Response crew , to have clinical responsibility for assessment and treatment planning for people referred.Develop your skills into a more well-rounded holistic approach to patient care.

Take on extended roles such as venepuncture, drug administration, advance assessment of the acutely ill patient, and acute injury assessment.

Gain experience in generic, orthopedic, musculoskeletal, respiratory, neurological rehabilitation, and falls prevention.

Gain experience in day-to-day management of the team including taking handovers and helping to make treatment plans at the virtual ward round.Supervise junior staff and students

Job responsibilities

This role involves delivering therapeutic assessments and treatments to assigned clients within a multi-disciplinary team.

Actively participate in planning, executing, and evaluating interventions for patients referred to Brent Rapid Response Service, all under the guidance of experienced senior therapist.

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, your role will involve contributing to reducing hospital admissions and ensuring optimal home-based care for our patients.

The role encompasses working across diverse settings, including care homes, residential units, and patient homes, focusing on developing foundational skills and expertise in Occupational Therapy.
