An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Dietitian to join our Integrated Nutrition and Dietetic service at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. The Inpatient Dietitian department has 16 WTE Dietitians. The team comprises of an Integrated Nutrition and Dietetic Service Lead, Team leader, band 7, band 6 and band 5 Dietitians, Dietetic Support Workers, Dietetic Apprentice and Secretary. We are integrated service with community dietetic and patient education colleagues, as well as with the wider inpatient Therapy directorate.
The role will be focused on providing a high standard of dietetic care to inpatients requiring nutritional support. There will be opportunities to cover a variety of ward allocations and rotations, working alongside senior dietitians in their specialist areas. You will have involvement with general outpatient clinics.
Newly qualified staff are required to complete a Preceptorship programme. Professional development is encouraged through supervision, appraisal, mandatory training and CPD activities. Supervision is provided by senior clinical staff.

Optimise the clinical progress and quality of life of patients by providing individualised nutritional assessments, evidence-based recommendations and care plans across designated wards and clinics.
Work as a committed member of both the Inpatient Dietetic team and the Integrated Nutrition and Dietetic service, contributing to the achievement of Departmental, Team and Trust goals.
Provide relevant advice and training to other health care professionals.
Participate in service development.
Provide specialist knowledge across a range of procedures underpinned by theory
