Specialist Nurse

Job summary

Westlands Unit are looking to recruit a Band 6 Specialist Nurse to joint our established multi-disciplinary team.

Westlands is an 18 bedded, female treatment unit which offers service users intensive, high quality, person centred interventions, assessment and treatment, utilising a trauma informed model and approach.

The successful candidate must be committed, motivated and have an empathetic and understanding approach to the people who access our service. They need to have an appropriate level of self-awareness and the ability to utilise their initiative when working with often complex and challenging situations.

The candidate will also be expected to provide senior leadership and supervision to junior staff across the service and therefore would benefit from having a high level of clinical knowledge and experience of offering value based, value recovery-focused interventions that facilitate recovery.

The successful candidate will be given regular supervision, guidance and support. There will be opportunities for further development and training.
