We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join our integrated Mental Healthcare team at HMP Lewes. HMP Lewes is a category B Prison located in East Sussex, housing around 740 patients, a high number of whom have neurodiversity and complex trauma presentations .

Within this role you will be an integral part of the clinical leadership team, supporting the development of the psychological therapies service. You will join a supportive and experienced team consisting of support workers, occupational therapist, and 2 Assistant Psychologist.

The mental health team on site a psychologically minded and have brought in many new practices including the use of AI, and offer compassion focused therapy sessions, following trauma informed practice.

Hours

This is a fixed term contract starting in February 2025

3 or 4 days per week between Monday to Friday

Once the FTC has come to an end we may be able to offer 1 day per week on a permanent basis 

Salary

This position is a part time position offering up to £61,190 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
