The Childrens Hearing Service covers the population of West Hertfordshire providing a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitation services to children and young people. You will be working with Lead Paediatric Audiologist/Service Lead, Consultant in Paediatric Audio-vestibular Medicine (AVM), Paediatric Audiologists, Audiology Assistants and administration staff. On a wider level you will work with ENT, Educational audiologists, Speech Therapy. This is an extremely supportive team and provide a fantastic environment to grow your paediatric audiology knowledge and skills. This role requires traveling to multiple locations.
This role requires diagnostic assessments using a range of testing techniques and rehabilitation of children with auditory disorders; some of which are complex and will be accompanied with a senior clinician as well as digital hearing aid provision. The role also involves general departmental administrative duties and service development and may require some teaching & training of junior staff and allied professionals, if appropriate. You will be expected to have high professional standards, be adaptive to change and work independently as well as jointly with other audiologists and Consultant AVM.
