Main duties of the job

Hours 22.5hours 830-430 Tues, Thurs, Friday or Wed, Thurs, Friday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative occupational therapist to join our team where you will be able to develop and utilise your palliative occupational therapy skills.

You will work as part of St Richards Hospices specialist multi-disciplinary palliative care team, contributing to the effective provision of rehabilitation and therapy services across all clinical services in the hospice or community, face to face or virtually including group work. For this you will need to hold a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for work purposes.

You will undertake holistic Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment of palliative care patients as an autonomous practitioner, with support from colleagues for patients with complex needs.

You will have a minimum of 18 months post registration experience including; core rotations in respiratory, neurology and community work.

You will be excited to join a dynamic and innovative team bringing such attributes with you and will have excellent team working skills both within the therapy team and wider multi-disciplinary team.

You will have a good knowledge of holistic rehabilitative palliative care and be keen to develop your occupational therapy skills further within palliative care.

You will have a commitment to delivering high quality holistic patient care with a flexible working attitude.
