An exciting opportunity exists to appoint talented Clinical Fellows to the Thoracic Surgery Department at Guy's Hospital.
Start date can be flexible for the successful applicant(s) and further start dates may be available in 2026. Contract length can be negotiable and will be dependent on applicant experience and suitability.
The Department of Thoracic Surgery within Guys' and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest specialist thoracic centres in the UK, performing approximately 1500 surgical procedures per year of varying case mix and complexity.
The majority of referrals to the thoracic centre are tertiary in nature, with a mixture of both cancer and non-cancer cases.
The appointee will join a team of 8 thoracic surgery consultants, an associate specialist, and a team pf specialist registrars / clinical fellows, nurse practitioners and junior clinical fellows.
They will receive training within the ward, clinic and theatre environments, and also gain experience of thoracic multidisciplinary working. The post holder will participate in clinical and other service activities in order to ensure a high standard of patient care and to assist with service development.
