Ultrasound Clinical Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen as a clinical lead for our well established ultrasound imaging service. The successful applicant will lead the day to day operational management of the service with responsibility for staffing and capacity. There will also be a requirement to ensure high quality image provision to support the patient pathway. The post holder must be able to lead on strategic planning for the ultrasound service, with responsibility for the required clinical and performance targets. The post holder is expected to maintain their own level of clinical expertise, including independent vetting and reporting, in addition to teaching junior colleagues and Registrars.

Main duties of the job

Excellent time management and organisational skills are required as well as established leadership skills for supporting staff both within and external to the department.

Perform clinical duties to a high standard and act as an expert resource to staff requiring advice.

Experience in dealing with patient complaints and governance would be beneficial, but training will be provided
