Main duties of the job

The Medicine for Older People department at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a senior nurse interested in making the progression into a leadership position. We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual, with a passion for the care of the elderly patient, for service improvement, and for staff development and well being. We are a care group with a strong emphasis on delivering quality, patient centred care, with an emphasis on a MDT approach and collaborative working. Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

• 1st Level Registered nurse on relevant part of the NMC Register
• Recognised mentorship qualification and experience as a Sign Off mentor
• Degree or working towards
• Completion of appropriate specialty

• Extensive experience in specialty to include considerable experience at Band 6 level
